Cut Paper Art / Wedding or Anniversary

So I love creating unique paper cut art especially for weddings! I just finished one for a family member and it brought her to tears.

When I create wedding paper cut art the couples initials are the focal point and a borders accents the inner art.

For her, the initial K is used and shows that she is a lover of Go-Go music, loves the movies, got her masters from Howard, loves to eat out, member of the speech pathology association, and is a Delta.

For him: C- Loves all things Chicago - Bears, Cubs, is a referee, is a Kappa- with cane, loves to grill, and is a social worker.

The border contains a ukulele ( honeymooned in Hawaii), they both danced the night away during the wedding so there are records, stars ( with their wedding date) and a disco ball and in the corners with a volume equalizer. Their last name is put to music as a figure representing them doing the two step joins the initials.

Customized Initial Paper Cut for Wedding or Anniversary  

My paper cut art is very detailed. Telling a story of how the couple met and the things that are important and what make them special. They are usually 11 x 15.  I framed this one in a beautiful black 14 x 18 frame.

Cut Paper Art / Christmas Peace Joy Holiday Card Set

This Christmas I decided to create a detailed and original paper cut art holiday card set. The inspiration came from Christmas ornaments that I saw at the mall. I decided to make my own and put the words, peace and joy in the middle and backed it with a beautiful glitter card stock.

Let me know what you think! There are 4 in the pack, two of each design with green and gold glitter paper lining the card. Cards are blank inside and measure 4.25 x 5.5 inches. Each comes with a kraft paper envelope.

I decided to draw my ideas out, no matter what they are and see where they take me. I found this quote online and am going to try to go by it.

Natural Hair Art t-shirts / Royal Queen

When I first started creating paper cut art I designed a couple of silhouettes of women's faces. One of those silhouettes really struck a cord with a lot of people. I received several request to put the art on a t-shirt or a even a bag. I thought that was an awesome idea but before I could even think of screen printing I needed funds.  I needed to sell some art on Etsy to fund this idea. Orders trickled in through the summer but it took awhile.... sadly. I didn't want to miss the hot weather, which was perfect for cute t-shirt wearing.

Through-out the summer I was in constant communication with a friend that has a screen printing company. I knew I wanted her and her husband to do this project for me. I had figured out the cost, worked on the color way, cleaned the art for printing and tried to get a marketing plan together. The summer came and went and I was finally able to get some funds together to purchase and screen a small order of tees. Big problem was Fall was knocking on the door and I wondered to myself if anyone successfully sells t-shirts in the Fall.  I did some research and found that t-shirt sell all through-out the year! So I went ahead and placed my order and got some pictures taken. Didn't have time to find a model so I used myself.
